Remembering Pearl Harbor
by Congressman John Boozman
December 7th, 2005

Today is the 64th anniversary of the surprise attack on our Pacific Fleet at Naval Station Pearl Harbor. Please take a moment today to remember those who lost their lives in the attack, those that survived and those who took up arms to defend our nation after that tragic day. The attack brought our nation into World War II where the “Greatest Generation” fought valiantly to defeat tyranny around the globe. Today we recognize these extraordinary men and women whose sacrifices on December 7, 1941 and throughout the war that followed that attack, preserved the freedoms we cherish and made the world a better place.
